Defined as an international platform for higher studies, Venkateshwara Open University is mainly termed as a non-profit foundation. His main goal is to help the poor youth fulfill and achieve their dreams of living their dream, without any monetary constraint.
He works in a bonded segment, with the main aim to remove hatred, and spread happiness and love. Through his services, all the students are likely to develop higher moral esteem, and follow the dream of VASUDEVA KUTUMBHKAM. This university is termed to offer mentored educational services, to all the learners at post graduate, doctoral and graduate levels, with methods to imbibe some social changes, in not only Indian community but across the world.

Venkateshwara Open University has been established through Arunachal Pradesh State Government Act No. 10 of 2012.
Recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC)
Venkateshwara Open University is formed under section 2(f) of the UGC Act and is authorized by University Grant Commission to award Degrees as specified under section 22 of the UGC Act 1956.
Association of Indian Universities (AIU)
VOU is now a member of Association of Indian universities (AIU).
Membership of AIU is given only those universities whose courses and curriculum are recognized by the Govt. of India. AIU membership is the hallmark of authenticity, quality and lifelong security from career perspectives.
Recognition of Academic Qualifications And Degrees –
The open and online Learning Division in the Ministry of Human Resource Development receives a number of queries from the general public seeking clarifications in respect of recognition of academic qualifications acquired through open and online mode and their acceptance for the purpose of employment in Central/State Government service. The position in this regard is clarified as under:
It is up to the concerned academic institution/university to recognize the qualification including certificate diploma, degree, etc. for the purpose of academic pursuit, i.e. continuing education for acquiring another academic qualification, with it. As regards recognition of academic qualifications for the purpose of employment, it is the prerogative of the concerned employer to take a view on the recognition of the degree, diploma, etc.
Central Government, as an Employer, had made its position clear in respect of academic qualifications; acquired through open and online mode of education, for the purpose of employment under it, vide Gazette Notification No.44 dated March 1, 1995.
The Gazette Notification referred is equally applicable to the qualifications acquired from private as well as public institutions/universities.
